Uniforms

All uniforms (called a gi - pronounced gee) are available at our training site for $35.00. Please have the sleeve length mid-way between the wrist and elbow and the pants hemmed one inch above the ankle.

In Northbrook Youngrens Tailor has offered us a 10% discount on karate gi hemming. They know exactly how to do it. If you purchase a high end gi it is worth the money to have them do it.

Advanced High-End Uniforms

For those members who want a higher quality gi please go to the following website at http://www.dragon-tsunami.org.  Children who have attained a higher rank and seem committed to their karate experience will enjoy this gi. I suggest the "Meijin Pro" - you can also get it embroidered with your child's name in Japanese. The cost is about $100.00 for the gi and about $20.00 for the embroidery.

Patch Information:

The patch should be sewn on the left chest over the heart. The small white circle should be on top so that the Japanese reads straight and the English reads along the side. The first patch is given for free and subsequent patches are $10.00 each.
